Special Containment Procedures:
All known entrances to SCP-x002 are to be monitored at all times, and no one is to enter SCP-x002 outside of testing, as permitted by the O5 Council. Anything exiting SCP-x002 is to be detained and evaluated for anomalous activity. If deemed safe, subjects are to be administered with amnestics. Anything deemed unsafe is to be terminated.
Description:
SCP-x002, also known as "[[The Backrooms]]," is an anomalous non-Euclidean space that exists as an infinite series of floors, each varying in size, environmental conditions, and the nature of its inhabitants. The structure of SCP-x002 appears to be an infinite complex of yellow-tinted rooms, long hallways, and open spaces. The backrooms are notorious for their disorienting properties, including constant buzzing fluorescent lights, musty carpet floors, and walls made of a material resembling old wallpaper.
SCP-x002 is accessed primarily through anomalies located in various places within the Foundation’s research sites. Once entered, individuals are transported to an unknown floor of the complex. The structure of SCP-x002 defies conventional laws of physics, with space stretching and warping in non-Euclidean ways.
SCP-x002 is broken up into 4 main areas designated SCP-x002-1 through SCP-x002-4. Because of the spatial properties of SCP-x002, these places are not "areas" in the traditional sense, but are instead sections and zones with similar visual appearances.
